20g turbo, 3.5 inch intercooler piping, fmic, ac delete, slowboy racing clutch, eagle rods on wiseco pistons, john shepard transmission, yadda yadda yadda........... head work, safc, gm maf, horepower in box, aeromotive fpr, and like 30+psi of boost and more.... and... 12.7 best time. my Z did a 13.0 with 500's test pipes,downpipes, ebay intake, 555cc's and my own eeprom tune and 9PSI! its not even awd. but look up John Shepard he has a streetable 7 second 1st gen, which can not be said about our cars... they can get crazy fast, but for what? they are still no Z and the BREAK DOWN ALL THE TIME and the maintainance cost is outrageous. cool cars, and prob my 2nd fav, but for good reason. dont ditch the Z for one. I have owned both cars, and the Z is a better car. look at the sticker price. you get what you pay for and its not worth having the DSM name on it, (daily service & maintenence) and the 2g's dont get me started. they all throw rod bearings. ALL OF THE 7 BOLT 2gen 4G63's sping rod bearings. they crank walk. so dont even waste your time unless you swap to a 6 bolt.
